“I think people need to be reminded that creativity is a verb, a very time-consuming verb. It’s about taking an idea in your head, and transforming that idea into something real. And that’s always going to be a long and difficult process. If you’re doing it right, it’s going to feel like work.” – Milton Glaser
I’m a Long Island based designer with a true passion for what I do. Whether I’m brainstorming a brand identity or designing your web presence, I am enjoying every step of the creative process.
When I take on a new project, I am forming a new partnership between designer and client. I make sure to listen to your wants and needs. From there, I will come up with the best possible solution for meeting your goals. I will listen to your input and take everything into consideration. If it simply won’t work, I’m not afraid to tell you. But I will come up with an alternative to ensure that you are given the best possible end result. This is why I make sure to gather plenty of information before beginning a new project.
If you haven’t already, I invite you to take a look at some of my work. Traditionally, I prefer a clean, minimal style, but designers are chameleons- my work will always reflect that of the client’s brand identity. When you’re ready, get started on your new project with me (free estimates and quotes available).
I can’t wait to work with you!
My father is a graphic designer and I grew up watching him work, drawing with him, and constantly creating. I’ve loved art for as long as I can remember, and because of that background, I was able to learn design principles at an early age. My high school didn’t offer the kinds of advanced computer art classes that many others did. So I took every fine art class they had to offer, and went into college with little computer experience. Over the summer before, I played around in Creative Suite on my own, and fell in love with Illustrator. From there, I knew what I wanted to do in life.
I pursued my degree at Long Island University’s C.W. Post Campus, remaining close to home. While working towards my degree, I gained working experience in various CMS systems through different companies. I interned for the Town of Babylon’s Historical Services Department where I got to work in both print and digital mediums, with a fond love of both. In 2011, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Arts & Design.
Since then, I have been the Art Director for a small local magazine, following high school sports, in which I would give assignments out, create layouts, and piece together the whole magazine, print and digital. From there, I went to a Long Island Agency, with a wide spectrum of clients, ranging from non-profit to medical to financial, projects varying from direct mailers, to websites, to brand identity.
I am currently working as a full-time Senior Graphic Designer for medical websites, with clients all over the world. However, my passion is design, so even when I’m not at the office, I am working freelance to further expand my knowledge, capabilities, and experience.
Get a Little Personal:
I have a black labrador named Mattie, and a little black cat named Mira. I love to spend the rest of my time off of a computer and outdoors. Growing up on Long Island, I have a strong connection to the ocean, so whenever possible, I can be found on the beach. I enjoy hiking, camping, and fishing. I love to travel and explore different places as well as their cultures, making sure to try as much food as possible! I hope to explore as much of the world as I can with my time on Earth.
